Texas Family Photographer

As a Concan family photographer, servicing Uvalde, Hondo, and San Antonio - my goal is to preserve the season of life your family is in right now. Family sessions are about capturing genuine connection... the laughter, the movement, and the quiet in-between moments that make your family unique. I gently guide each session so it feels relaxed while still creating timeless portraits you’ll cherish for years to come. These images become part of your family’s visual legacy, preserving this chapter of your story in an honest and meaningful way.

It's all about your legacy

Our Philosophy

- Allison Gebauer

Ruth was absolutely wonderful to work with!

She came out to our family’s ranch and captured the most beautiful photos — we will cherish them forever. She was so friendly and made everyone feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Her eye for detail and natural moments truly shines through in every shot. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend her!"

Your gallery will be delivered a few weeks after your session. During that time, I carefully go through and edit each image so your final gallery reflects the moments we captured together. Once it’s ready, you’ll receive an online gallery where you can download, share, and print your photographs.

When your session day arrives, I recommend having outfits ready the day before and, if possible, getting hair and makeup done ahead of time. If you have little ones, arriving a few minutes early can help so you have time to change them into their outfits and get settled.
Once everyone is ready, the rest is my job. I’ll guide you through the session and take care of everything needed to capture these memories, you simply get to enjoy the moment with your family

Your Session Day

03

When it comes to booking your family session, once we’ve chosen a date and time, we’ll begin preparing for the session together. After your session is reserved, I’ll send over my Family Session Guide, which walks you through everything you need to know before the day arrives. My goal is for you to feel completely prepared and relaxed before your session. The guide answers many of the common questions families have and helps make the experience feel simple and enjoyable, so when the day arrives you can focus on spending time with your family while I capture this season of your story.

Planning

02

I want to hear it all — what you’re hoping for, what you imagine when you picture your family session, and the kind of moments you want to remember years from now. We’ll talk through your vision for the session, the feeling you want your photos to have, the personalities within your family, and any location ideas that feel meaningful to you. The more I understand about your family and how you envision this experience, the more I can thoughtfully plan a session that reflects who you are in this season of life.

Lets Photograph this season

Hourly Rate: $500

This is an investment into your family’s visual legacy. These photographs become part of your home, your history, and the memories your children will one day look back on. Family sessions begin at $500, which includes your session time, planning resources, and a carefully edited online gallery.
*Mini sessions are offered select times throughout the year and are announced to my email list and social media when they become available.

The Investment

Yes, grandparents are absolutely welcome to join your session. When sessions include more than six people, there is a small additional fee since larger groups require a bit more coordination during the session. If you’re planning a generational family session, please let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. These sessions typically include a longer session time and a family shot list to ensure we capture all of the important combinations. This allows the experience to stay relaxed while making sure everyone is included in your family’s memories.

Can I include grandparents?

If you’re unsure what to wear, don’t worry. My Family Session Guide includes tips for coordinating outfits for the whole family, and I’m always happy to help if you’d like to send over outfit ideas before the session.

What If I don't Know what to wear?

Yes. Your online gallery includes access to a professional print store where you can order prints, albums, and keepsake books directly from your gallery.

Can we order prints and albums?

Yes, payment plans are available. If you would prefer to split your session investment into multiple payments, I’m happy to arrange a plan that works before your session date.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I do travel for family sessions. Locations within one hour of travel are included. For sessions farther than an hour, a travel fee may apply.

Do you Travel?

I recommend booking your family session 3–4 weeks in advance to ensure availability. For fall sessions, which are my busiest season, I encourage families to book at least 6 weeks in advance to secure a date.
