Morgan Creek Barn Wedding | Hannah & Reice

A Relaxed Hill Country Wedding Day in Dripping Springs, TX

As a wedding photographer, I always arrive early to settle into the space and begin documenting the story as it naturally unfolds. When I arrived at 1:30 p.m. for Hannah and Reice’s Morgan Creek Barn wedding in Dripping Springs, the day was already gently coming together.

Cassidy, the event coordinator, was putting the finishing touches in place while the bridal suite buzzed with hair, makeup, and laughter in pajamas. The groomsmen were about to begin getting ready, and although we were ahead of schedule, you could feel the anticipation building — especially for Hannah and her mom. It was that mix of nerves and excitement that makes a wedding day feel so meaningful.

The ceremony at Morgan Creek Barn began right on time. It was short, heartfelt, and joyful — just twelve minutes from processional to first kiss. Vows were exchanged, rings placed, and before anyone knew it, Hannah and Reice were officially husband and wife.

Family portraits followed, beginning with grandparents so everyone could be comfortable. We moved through extended family groupings, immediate family combinations, and special landscape and portrait variations for a Christmas card request. Even with additional groupings added, everything stayed organized and efficient so the couple could get back to celebrating.

The bridal party portraits were such a standout. The beautiful yellow bridesmaid dresses paired with the blue tuxes made the entire gallery pop. Against the rustic backdrop of Morgan Creek Barn, the color palette felt vibrant and joyful. The tones complemented the Hill Country setting perfectly and added so much life to the final collection.

As the reception began, the barn felt complete — florals styled, cake table set, and guests ready to celebrate. Introductions flowed into a prayer, cake cutting, and heartfelt toasts from Hannah’s father and the maid of honor. Once the dance floor opened, it stayed full. Guests were on their feet most of the night, creating a celebration that felt effortless and fun.

The evening ended with a sparkler exit under the Texas sky. Surrounded by glowing light and cheering friends, Hannah and Reice shared one final kiss before driving off into the night — the perfect ending to a relaxed and joy-filled Hill Country wedding.

As a San Antonio wedding photographer, capturing weddings at Morgan Creek Barn is always such a gift. The venue’s ceremony space, reception barn, and open Texas sky create a beautiful setting — but it’s couples like Hannah and Reice, and a bridal party that keeps things easy and joyful, that truly make the day unforgettable.
